It can't edit 1080p video and I usually have to downscale all the way to 960x540 for a smooth edit, render times are obscenely long, and while it used to be able to play Skyrim at 480p at its lowest settings through Bootcamp, it can barely manage 7FPS now, indicating that the GPU isn't doing too well. Storage: Seagate 500GB SSHD (has failed multiple times and takes a few minutes to boot to finder. GPU: Nvidia GeForce 9400M (256MB VRAM, has weakened over the years) RAM: 4GB Hynix DDR3 1067 MHz (can be upgraded to 8) For the last six years, I've been working with a 2009 MacBook Pro. I've recently been considering buying a new laptop for video editing on the go, but as of now, I don't have enough to afford anything decent, and I might as well make do with what I do have until I can afford something better, like the Dell Inspiron 7559.
